City View Tavern (“City View Tavern,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website to share our menu, hours, location, and story. This page explains what little information the site collects, how it’s used, and who it’s shared with. We keep this simple on purpose — we’re a neighborhood tavern, not an ad network, and we’ve built the site to collect as little about you as possible.
What this site does not do
This site does not use analytics or advertising trackers, does not set marketing or tracking cookies, does not have a contact form, newsletter signup, user accounts, or online ordering, and does not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for their own marketing purposes. There is nothing here to opt out of, because there’s nothing being collected in the first place beyond what’s described below.
Information our hosting provider collects automatically
Like virtually every website, ours runs on a web server that automatically logs basic technical information for security and troubleshooting — things like your IP address, browser type, the page you requested, and the date and time of the request. We don’t use this information to identify you personally or build a profile of your visit; it exists mainly so we (or our hosting provider) can keep the site running and catch abuse.
Fonts
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches those font files, Google receives the request, which includes your IP address — the same way it would for any file loaded from a third-party server. Google’s handling of that data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. We don’t receive or store any information from this exchange ourselves.
Links to other sites
You’ll find links on this site to places like our live EarthCam feed, and to our listings on Yelp, Google, and TripAdvisor. Once you click through, you’re on that company’s site and subject to its own privacy policy — we don’t control, and aren’t responsible for, how those third parties handle your information.
Children’s privacy
This site is a general-audience business website and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from children, and given the site doesn’t collect personal information from anyone in the first place, there’s nothing to be concerned about here either way.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add something to the site that changes what we collect — an online reservation system or a mailing list, for example — we’ll update this page and revise the effective date above. We’d encourage you to check back occasionally if you have concerns.
